  1. isn’t it near to winter there now? yet so many flowers and greenery

    • Garfield Hug says:

Yes, it is winter now. 15C to 19C cold winds and yet oddly enough heaps of flowers and green rolling hills. New Zealand is very different than Australia where I was greeted with brown grass!

  2. Lovely pictures, thank you for sharing! : )

Lovely flowers. πŸ™‚ It looks so similar to Cape Town – also heading for winter. πŸ™‚

  4. I was told New Zealand and Australia were beautiful. Since you have now seen a little of both, what are your impressions?

    • Garfield Hug says:

I prefer the Land Down Under as it is keyed to promote tourism. Sign posts and accomodation are plentiful and of good international standards. In Kiwi Land the road signs are not helpful in that it does not say how far one must go to a tourist attraction or progressive signages to guide you. For eg we were looking to go to a Macadamia nut farm. From the brown sign board, we drove 20km without seeing it and we wondered if we missed it. Later on Googling it, we were told it was 90km ahead. No progressive signages…not helpful. Australia is better as it will say how many kilometres and how far more you are going to drive.

  5. Lovely pictures and interesting to know about kiwi land. Enjoy.
