This & That Including What Ails

Albany, Night Fall- Day 5 Part 3

on May 29, 2016

The weather has been cold and wet.

I returned to my sister’s house with a warm fire going.

Wood chopped in summer from their property.

A game of billiards in their game room, followed by dinner at JK’s Restaurant.

Peking Duck…

Fish fried in black beans, french beans fried with mince pork, cold meats such as roast belly pork, char siew and roast chicken, meat from Peking Duck fried with bean sprouts not in photo as we were just too hungry.

Nephew enjoyed his sweet and sour and Bubble Tea.

$165 for 6 of us. Not fine dining but cafe style food was my view.

Edible and passable considering this is Kiwi Land.πŸ˜‰

Kiwi Land is heavily populated with Koreans, Japanese, Hong Kongers, Vietnamese, Cambodians and Indians who take over restaurants, veggie shops and expresso coffee bakeries or eateries.

I was going to say – I don’t think food in the rest of the world will be quite up to your standards, but it looks fine to me. πŸ™‚

I was thinking of going to Hobbit land but it costs around $180 per person or more. Too much for me and I will give it a miss πŸ˜• as 4 of us would cost $720+

I was thinking of asking you about Hobbiton too! My daughter’s dream place to live is New Zealand πŸ™‚ and she been wanting to visit Hobbiton since little. So expensive though!

        • Garfield Hug says:

Yes, it is a bit expensive. Since I am not too keen and neither are my parents, we gave it a miss. If it is something a person likes then it is an experience to have and money is then well spent I guess. If you make it to NZ and you guys are really keen then you should. The distance you flew from one continent to the other is worth it. Aaah if it was Garfield land and it cost me $300…I would go in a jiffy ha haπŸ˜‰

      • Neethu says:

Omg..that’s expensive..anyways m happy you having a good time away from you know enjoy to the max..😊🍫🍫🍫🍫

  3. Hi dear oh my the spread looks delish. It looks like authentic Chinese food there. We love Chinese food. This is the effect of being in Malaysia. Bubble tea is another favourite of my kids. It’s fun to pop the bubble in your mouth. πŸ˜‚
