I Am Quirky Too!

I wrote a post on a quirky neighbor but admittedly, I am quirky too.

Who in the world would be entertained as much by an inanimate furball Garfield, like I would?

Imagine if I had a flatmate, that person will think I am either el nutso in need of a straight jacket when I start talking to Garfield…”Mama’s home” whenever I step into the unit or if I accidentally left the furball face down and would tut tut away to say that poor Garfield would have “suffered crib death!”

I am also quirky in ways I like to have things filled up to the brim – for example, hand soaps, liquid gels, facial wash lotions. I like to see these items nice and full as it gives the bathrooms a nice color on the white basins.

For a single occupant of the unit, I have 3 bottles of liquid soaps. 1 placed in Master Bathroom, 1 in common bathroom and 1 in the kitchen. I use all 3 vials!

I get uncomfortable when my fruit bin in the fridge is down to 5 oranges. At any one time, I must have it full and this means about 20 oranges and 2 punnets of cherry apples (*small ones from Cape Town) or pears on the shelves of the fridge.

Dinner or lunch at home must be accompanied by 1 orange, 1 apple or pear.

I like cooking big pot of things and eating it for a whole week. Sometimes I keep what I cook today, if I have had it for lunch and rummage for something else to eat for dinner. I like variety of things to eat and have been told by Mr Ability To Earn that I tend to over-order and he ends up have to eat it all.

MR EX used to say the same about me and so, if 2 persons have said it, including Chicken and Bird, then indeed I do over order. But the fact is, I like variety and would peck at different dishes, leaving the guys to do the eating!

I also have another quirk – I must have fresh towels daily and boy oh boy, do I have a lot of towels to launder. Handtowels, face towels, dish towels, bath towels. Bed linens are changed every 2 days and with my 12 pillow collection, that is a lot of pillow cases to wash.

And oh don’t get me started on yet another quirk – I iron all my bath towels, linens. Ironed towels feel lighter, fluffier and softer!

Yes, I am as quirky as they come!
