Off Pethidine. Refused morphine. No Oxycodin. All are opiates and so, I am pain challenged. I rely on Piroxicam (NSAID) and Panadol to ease some of the pain.
I do my best to sit up and do toileting on the commode. Sorry if I cannot reply much yet.
Dr Neuro said it was a long slice on my back and tearing muscles apart to insert titanium rods and redo plus add screws is why I am in much pain.
I truly pray for my pain to ease. Pain is such a bad word and experience. To me, this is my Mother Of All Surgeries! No more please!
Meanwhile it is summer soon in some parts of the world and it seems thongs are trending in unspeakable ways….laugh we must!

You are very brave to refuse all Opiates pain medications. I wouldn’t have been able to do that. For my past major spine surgery, I had Morphine and Tramadol which are Opiates and made me really sick. Gosh your pain must be excruciating! Hang on tight. It will be over soon.
